Yet more shite articles about HP/Compaq merger

Sigh, this article has to take the cake on idiotic media. I have yet to see a good analysis on why the HP/Compaq merger would be a good or bad thing for HP. Almost all of them focus instead on the conflict between Walter Hewlett and the rest of the board. For example, here’s a quote from the article, about Walter: Keyworth said. “He is change-resistant.” Hewlett, who is elusive, has one item that does stand out as a public statement. A bumper sticker that reads “Abandon Inertia.” on his electric car. Now, is that change-resistant?

Regardless, Carly Fiorina is doing a keynote at LinuxWorld next week, should be interesting to hear what she has to say on the subject.
