Mark Fiore’s Animated Political Cartoons
Saturday, January 26th, 2002They are a notorious elite Internet pirate organization
Saturday, January 26th, 2002Finally! Some respect for all the ‘leet crackers out there spreading the warez. The above quote is from Bob Kruger, from the BSA, who appears to be about 10 years behind the scene. Apparently, all those 14 year old kids stepping through stack traces on their pirated copies of SoftICE are involved in funding terrorist organizations. Uh huh, you heard it here. If all of that sounds a bit far fetched to you, here’s some insight. Rich LaManga, the senior manager in charge of worldwide investigations for Microsoft’s Law and Corporate Affairs group, used to be the deputy chief of intelligence and and chief of the special intelligence division for the U.S. DEA. Ahh, now the rhetoric starts to sound familiar.
Yet more shite articles about HP/Compaq merger
Friday, January 25th, 2002Sigh, this article has to take the cake on idiotic media. I have yet to see a good analysis on why the HP/Compaq merger would be a good or bad thing for HP. Almost all of them focus instead on the conflict between Walter Hewlett and the rest of the board. For example, here’s a quote from the article, about Walter: Keyworth said. “He is change-resistant.” Hewlett, who is elusive, has one item that does stand out as a public statement. A bumper sticker that reads “Abandon Inertia.” on his electric car. Now, is that change-resistant?
Regardless, Carly Fiorina is doing a keynote at LinuxWorld next week, should be interesting to hear what she has to say on the subject.
Sgt. Stryker’s Daily Briefing
Friday, January 25th, 2002Here’s a weblog that offers a refreshing change from the normal liberal content you see in alternative web logs. I can’t say I agree with most of the viewpoints on the site, but it’s a good chance to read something different. The mainstream media provides us with no content, the large anti-globalization brigade offers their view, and here’s another viewpoint. In addition, he recently posted a link to The Federalist Papers.

Wednesday, January 16th, 2002More insidious integration of darknews into your browser
Tuesday, January 15th, 2002Are you a good netizen? Or are you using that other browser. If you are using Mozilla, head on over to here to add a Sidebar panel featuring the latest darknews news. In the future there’ll be some other cool features. I’m thinking of integrating various random toys into it.
Yes, Netscape is still around. They’ve even released Netscape 6, aka Mozilla.
